Naomi Osaka is posting selfies while lying on a beautiful beach, but even though she smiles in those pictures her recent Instagram captions hint that she and her baby daddy Cordae are going through a rough patch or have even broken up.

In July of this year, Osaka and her boyfriend Cordae welcomed their first child, a baby girl named Shai. The joy of parenthood brings its own set of challenges, and it seems like the four-time Grand Slam champion is navigating these waters.
On September 27, the 26-year-old Osaka wrote “The art of loving yourself” on X. After sparking breakup rumors with that post, the tennis star wrote another cryptic message: “I just want someone that will watch the sunset with me.” Resting on a sunbed, seemingly alone, in a chic grey monogram one-piece swimsuit from Louis Vuitton, the former world No.1 posted two selfies with a simple caption featuring wave emojis. In her Instagram stories, she shared a sunset photo from the beach and the following lyrics from Tems’ new song “U and me”:

When the breakup rumors started, fans didn’t seem surprised, also saying that separation from the rapper might be good for Osaka’s tennis career.
Osaka and musician Cordae started dating in 2019. This is not the first time that they are the subject of breakup speculations and they stopped following each other on social media. What’s more, Osaka’s Instagram account no longer features any pictures of the pair together.
Having not played the entire 2023 season due to pregnancy and maternity leave, Osaka is gearing up for an exciting return to the sport in January 2024.
