Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has been spotted without her croc logo at recent tennis matches, suggesting that her partnership with Lacoste has come to an end. She is currently playing at the 2024 BNP Paribas Open without the recognizable Lacoste crocodile on her visor and apparel. Instead, she sports a new V-shaped logo on her black tennis skirt.
This change became evident when comparing appearances at the Qatar Total Open in Doha, where Pavlyuchenkova was clearly dressed in Lacoste, to later events like the San Diego tournament, where she showed up in the new apparel but retained her Lacoste visor.
This indicates that her new brand affiliation may not be a sponsorship, as she is not dressed head-to-toe in the new brand. Interestingly, Pavlyuchenkova continues to wear Lacoste tennis shoes at Indian Wells, adding to the intrigue surrounding her apparel choices.
In their article presenting the new collection for the 2024 Australian Open in January, Lacoste made no mention of Pavlyuchenkova, rather, they only included the names of their tennis ambassadors Bernarda Pera, Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Arthur Fils, which further confirms the end of cooperation with the Russian WTA player.
Before her partnership with Lacoste, Pavlyuchenkova had worn Sofibella in 2018 and had a long-standing clothing sponsorship with Adidas.
The 32-year-old Pavlyuchenkova won a late-night three-set battle against Beatriz Haddad Maia to move into the fourth round of the 2024 BNP Paribas Open, where she’ll face Marta Kostyuk. The world No.24 is one spot away from returning to the Top 20, as her current live ranking is No.21.
