Aryna Sabalenka’s latest Instagram carousel features a photo of her hugging her new boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis. Comments from her best friend, Paula Badosa, suggest that the Spanish tennis star might have played a matchmaker role in bringing the couple together.

As the 2024 French Open approaches, Sabalenka shared a series of photos and video clips on her Instagram, captioned: “What my days off the court have been looking like recently.” Among these glimpses into her life, she flaunts a new Nike tennis dress from the latest Paris collection, giving fans a playful shimmy to showcase it.
The standout image is undoubtedly the one of her walking hand-in-hand with Frangulis, the founder of Oakberry. This isn’t the first time Sabalenka has shared their intimate situations; just a few days ago, they were spotted together at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, Italy, a moment she also posted on social media. Adding to the romance, one photo features a gorgeous bouquet of white and pink roses, presumably a gift from her new beau.
It seems that Paula Badosa played Cupid in this budding romance. Her enthusiastic comments on Sabalenka’s post, including “Thanks for listening to me” accompanied by heart emojis, hint at her matchmaking efforts. Sabalenka’s reply, “Always, my love,” with red hearts, further confirms this. Badosa, who recently rekindled her romance with Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas, also chimed in with: “Soooooooo f**** beautiful!”
Sabalenka’s relationship with Frangulis has stirred some controversy, as it emerged barely a month after the tragic death of her ex-boyfriend, Konstantin Koltsov. Nonetheless, her connection with Frangulis has been public knowledge since they were first spotted together at the Mutua Madrid Open, and he has since been a frequent supporter in her player’s box, including during her recent final against Iga Swiatek at the Internazionali BNL d’Italia in Rome.
At Roland Garros, Sabalenka enters the tournament as the second seed and will face world No. 101, Erika Andreeva, in the first round. The 19-year-old Erika is the sister of 17-year-old Mirra Andreeva, who earned the title of WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2023.
