The world No.125 Danilovic started strong in the first set, taking a 3-0 lead with one break. However, Vondrousova mounted a comeback, winning five consecutive games from 1-4 to clinch the set 6-4, sealing it on her second set point with a perfectly placed lob on the line.

Vondrousova maintained her momentum in the second set, breaking Danilovic in the opening game and quickly establishing a 2-0 lead after saving three break points. The Czech’s dominance continued as she never faltered, breaking Danilovic once more to secure a commanding victory.

Meanwhile on Court Philippe Chatrier, top seed Iga Swiatek continued her quest for the third straight Roland Garros title with a superb 6-0 6-0 victory over Anastasia Potapova.

These two Sunday’s matches determined the first quarterfinal pair at Roland Garros 2024, as Swiatek and Vondrousova will face each other on Tuesday.
