Tennis star Emma Raducanu and her billionaire boyfriend Carlo Agostinelli have ended their relationship after about a year together. While the couple has not made any official statements, it is apparent that Raducanu has blocked Agostinelli on social media. A source told The Sun: “It seems their relationship has run its course.”

Agostinelli was Raducanu’s first public boyfriend since her rise to stardom with her 2021 US Open title. They likely began dating in May 2023, when they were seen together in Mexico City. This trip coincided with Raducanu’s role as a brand ambassador for Dior at their 2024 Cruise show.

Raducanu recently revealed in an interview with The Times that her parents were strictly against her having boyfriends when she was younger, insisting she focus on tennis. “My parents were very much against [boyfriends] as it interfered with training. When I was younger I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girl friends,” Raducanu said. The 21-year-old Brit admitted that while this made her resentful, it also gave her the advantage of being comfortable in her own company.

Raducanu and Agostinelli’s relationship was marked by luxurious holidays, such as their last summer’s vacation in Greece, as well as socializing with high-profile individuals. Notably, they celebrated Agostinelli’s 23rd birthday in London last year with Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

Carlo Agostinelli is the son of Robert Agostinelli, an American financier and businessman, best known as a co-founder and managing director of the private equity firm Rhône Group. Born in 1953, Agostinelli has established himself as a prominent figure in the world of finance and investment. He has a strong background in banking and has worked at various prestigious financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs and Lazard Frères.

Carlo’s mother is Mathilde Favier, a Parisian, a prominent figure in the fashion and luxury industries, known for her work as the public relations director at Dior Couture. She has played a significant role in shaping the brand’s image and managing its relationships with celebrities, influencers, and the media.

Currently ranked world No.209, Raducanu has delivered some promising performances this season after undergoing surgery on both wrists and an ankle, which caused her to miss most of 2023. Although she withdrew from the French Open qualifiers to concentrate on the grass and hard court seasons, she now has the chance to advance her ranking through wildcards at the Nottingham Open and Eastbourne International.
