Karolina Muchova, a former world No.8, delivered a commanding performance in singles, defeating Malene Helgø 6-2 6-2. Muchova later teamed up with Tomas Machac to secure a thrilling 2-1 victory for the Czechs by winning the deciding mixed doubles 6-4 6-4 over Ulrikke Eikeri and Viktor Durasovic.

Now, all eyes are on the upcoming matches. Team Poland, led by world No.2 Iga Swiatek, will face Norway on Monday before clashing with the Czech Republic on New Year’s Day.
