The first glimpse of Nike’s 2025 New York collection suggests the brand has never been closer to capturing the golden era of Maria Sharapova’s US Open glamour. After a two-year wait, it appears Aryna Sabalenka is finally getting her own custom tennis dress, and it is nothing short of breathtaking.

It looks like Sabalenka will debut both day and night looks at the US Open. The hint comes from Tennis Warehouse Europe, which lists one standout piece as the Nike Women’s New York Slam Sabalenka Crop Dress, while the collection also includes other, distinctly different designs—more on those later.

This item, called the Nike Women’s Fall Slam USO 2 Dress at Tennis Warehouse USA, features dramatic V-cuts at the waist that flow seamlessly into an open back, accented with shimmery trim and contrasting piping. Mesh panels enhance breathability across the back and the pleated skirt, marrying function with fashion.

Available in both glamorous black and striking white, the dress is designed to dazzle during day and night sessions at Flushing Meadows.

By contrast, the outfits for Nike’s broader roster are more understated, yet no less refined. Leading the line is the Nike Women’s New York Slam Dress in royal pulse, a soft, serene shade of blue. Crafted from feather-light ribbed fabric, the silhouette is defined by a sharp V-shaped mesh insert at the back that lends both edge and ventilation. The skirt falls in a rounded cut, finished with overlapping mesh panels at the sides for subtle movement and texture.

To sharpen the softness of the dress, Nike introduces a gleaming metallic silver vest. The stand-up collar adds structure and attitude, transforming the look from shy to striking.

The separates in Nike’s New York collection are offered in two palettes: thunder blue with royal pulse and burgundy crush with light crimson.

The Nike Women’s Fall Slam Tank is made from ribbed fabric with just the right amount of stretch, enhanced by Dri-FIT technology for moisture control. Its back is a standout feature, with a contrasting mesh racerback and delicate keyhole accents that reveal a touch of skin. At the front, a slim vertical mesh insert adds an architectural edge.

Paired with the Nike Women’s Fall Slam Skirt, the look comes alive in motion. The tiered construction layers a lightweight ribbed mesh over a supple ribbed knit base, creating both depth and dimension. An exposed elastic waistband, finished with a satin-like sheen and contrast piping, lends a modern, sporty finish to this versatile piece.

What are your thoughts on Aryna Sabalenka’s long-awaited second custom Nike dress, her first since the 2023 US Open? And how do you feel about the rest of Nike’s 2025 New York collection? Share your impressions in the comments below, I’d love to hear your take.

All pieces from the collection are already available at Tennis Warehouse USA and Tennis Warehouse Europe.

  1. The dress with the V-shaped cutouts is sensational. Quite like the red top from the front but a bit fiddly at the back. Silver vest is hideous.
