The 34-year-old Pavlyuchenkova made her relationship with her partner, Mathias, Instagram official at the start of the 2024 season. She first shared photos from Auckland, including a cozy New Year’s Eve snap captioned: “Nice company, tea, and early to bed because I play tmrw.” Since then, Mathias has become a regular presence on her social media. The pair have filmed vlogs together, traveled for tournaments, and he’s been frequently spotted supporting her from the stands.
Mathias is also known among tennis fans for his distinctive fashion sense, particularly his love for pajamas-style outfits. Pavlyuchenkova loves her man’s eccentric fashion.

Based on their public appearances, the couple has been together for around two years, and now they’ve officially taken the next big step in their relationship. Congratulations on their engagement poured in from fellow WTA players, including Shelby Rogers, Ons Jabeur, Kim Clijsters, Clara Tauson, Caroline Wozniacki, and Svetlana Kuznetsova.
Currently ranked No. 47, Pavlyuchenkova last competed at the 2025 US Open, where she reached the second round before losing to Victoria Azarenka.
