Dominika Cibulkova’s divorce and her new romance are dominating headlines in Slovakia. The former WTA star has confirmed that she and her husband of ten years, Michal Navara, have parted ways. But the story has another shocking layer as the 36-year-old retired athlete has already moved on, dating a longtime family friend who also happens to have been a business partner of her soon-to-be ex-husband.

The man in question is 43-year-old entrepreneur Tibor Vincze, a familiar figure within Cibulkova’s social circle. Vincze is well known in Slovakia’s elite scene as the owner of a company providing sound and lighting for major events. However, his ties to Cibulkova’s family go back at least a year. Photos from her daughter Nina’s lavish second birthday party in March 2025 show Vincze and his own spouse alongside Cibulkova and Navara.
Around the same time, Navara and Vincze expanded their relationship beyond friendship, forming a business partnership. According to records in the Bratislava commercial register, they founded BAGETA 89 s.r.o., a company in the buffet and catering sector. Vincze assumed the role of CEO, and Navara appeared to place full confidence in his partner.
Their camaraderie was evident not only professionally but also personally, as images surfaced showing the two men with children on their shoulders, highlighting a bond rooted in both family life and shared business ambitions.
However, this partnership came to an abrupt end on September 26, 2025, when Vincze stepped down as managing director of the company. Shortly thereafter, rumors of trouble in the Cibulkova-Navara marriage began circulating. Navara increasingly appeared in public without his wife, while Cibulkova acknowledged that their relationship was facing difficulties and that they were attempting to work things out through therapy.
Adding another layer to this story, both Cibulkova and Vincze are connected to Slovak pop star Dara Rolins, another link between their social networks.
Ten days ago, Cibulkova publicly confirmed her separation from Navara via Instagram. In a message shared as a screenshot, she addressed the speculation surrounding her private life, emphasizing the challenges of the breakup and the importance of protecting their family’s privacy. “Together with Michal, after a long period, we have decided to go our separate ways,” the 2014 Australian Open finalist wrote. “It was not an easy decision; however, we remain the parents of our children and continue to respect one another.”
