Aryna Sabalenka is officially engaged! The world No. 1 announced the happy news on Instagram, sharing a video of her longtime boyfriend, Brazilian entrepreneur Georgios Frangulis, proposing on March 3, 2026.

Frangulis got down on one knee in what Sabalenka described as a complete surprise. The Belarusian star later said that had she known a proposal was coming, she would have been prepared, instead of wearing a simple white T-shirt, jeans, and flip-flops. She captioned the post, “You & me, forever ♾️ 3.3.26.”
The engagement comes just weeks after rumors began circulating when Sabalenka was spotted wearing a large ring on her finger.
Few remember that Sabalenka was previously engaged in 2019, though her fiancé’s identity was never publicly revealed. She later had a long-term relationship with former ice hockey player Konstantin Koltsov, which ended shortly before his tragic death in March 2024. Not long after, probably in the spring of 2024, Sabalenka began dating Frangulis, the founder of Oakberry, a company known for its açaí-based products.
The 27-year-old Sabalenka, now in her 80th week atop the rankings, returns to competition for the first time since the Australian Open as she begins her campaign at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. She compiled an impressive 11–1 record in Australia, capturing the Brisbane title and reaching another Australian Open final, before skipping the Middle East swing.
