Presenting the shoe on stage, “Queen Wen” commanded the room in the red Nike Winter Advantage Tank and Pleat Skirt, elevated by a dramatic, floor-sweeping cape-style jacket featuring a high lace-up collar inspired by Chinese fashion. On her feet, the intricately detailed custom shoes completed the powerful royal look.

According to Nike, the embroidered red upper of the Vapor 12 “Qinwen Zheng” directly nods to the WTA player’s Libra zodiac sign, her victory on the world’s biggest stage and ascension to the top of the sport. Per the Olympic gold medalist’s personal request, Nike added angel wings to the metallic gold Swoosh logo across the midfoot. Her name, “QINWEN”, is embossed along the heel spine to finish the custom look.

Behind the couture aesthetics lies a lethal court weapon built for aggressive movers:

• The Upper: Engineered mesh offers lightweight comfort and breathability, reinforced by heavy-duty cast PU overlays in high-wear toe zones.
• The Midsole: A highly responsive Zoom Air unit under the heel combines with a full-length TPU foot frame for maximum lateral stability during explosive cuts.
• The Outsole: A durable HART rubber compound features a traditional herringbone tread pattern, delivering optimal grip and flawless sliding on hard courts.

The world No. 54 Zheng is currently in Beijing, ready to kick off her campaign at the China Open WTA 1000 tournament.

  1. I love the design but I think the bleeding red color way completely eats up the accents. By the way, which other female stars aside from Coco have their own shoes?
