First look at the purple Mercedes-AMG SL WTA Finals champion will receive, plus prize money breakdown

We’re accustomed to tournaments announcing record prize money, but this time the WTA Finals are heading in the opposite direction, with a decrease in the overall purse. There is, however, a new perk for the champion: a Mercedes-Benz in the WTA’s signature purple color.

Following the unexpected change of plans that saw the tournament abruptly relocate from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to Indian Wells, California, the WTA Finals will offer $10 million in prize money this year, a 35.5% decrease from the $15.5 million available last season. An undefeated champion will take home $3.37 million, compared to the $5.235 million Elena Rybakina earned for her perfect run to the title last year.

This year, the singles champion will receive a one-of-a-kind MANUFAKTUR Made to Measure Mercedes-AMG SL 55 4MATIC+. The exclusive model boasts an ultraviolet exterior inspired by the WTA’s iconic purple brand color, 21-inch AMG forged wheels, a crystal-white MANUFAKTUR Nappa leather interior and carbon-fiber trim. Custom touches include exclusive WTA Finals-inspired details, embroidered headrest cushions and a personalized badge bearing the champion’s name.

The car will be officially presented to the singles champion during the trophy ceremony on Sunday, November 15. The doubles champions will also each receive a complimentary 12-month lease of a Mercedes-Benz vehicle.
