American world No.4 Sofia Kenin officially announced her partnership with mobile phone manufacturer Motorola.
I’m so excited to officially be part of the Motorola brand @motorolaus! My Razr is such a crucial part of my daily life, helping me to stay in touch with my family and friends while I’m traveling. I’m looking forward to what 2021 brings as a #motoparnter! pic.twitter.com/t3zlSPorte

The reigning Australian Open champion is using the blush gold Motorola Razr, a flip phone with a folding screen. The model brings back old memories, reviving the popular sleek foldable phone from the 2000s. Maria Sharapova was the most famous tennis player endorsing Motorola at the time.
The 22-year-old Kenin is playing the Abu Dhabi WTA Women’s Tennis Open this week and we can see the Motorola patch on her Fila apparel. Look at the photos our Jimmie48 took at this season’s first WTA event. Interestingly, the phone company’s logo was spotted on Kenin’s tops even during the 2020 French Open, in particular during her final against Iga Swiatek.
She announced the deal on twitter from an iPhone then she deleted it and reposted it after the tennis fans made fun of her 😂😂
Melxir, I saw that some people were commenting “Nice iPhone ad” below her tweet, but I didn’t realize what it was about, until I saw someone’s screenshot from her initial tweet where it was evident that she posted it from iPhone. What a scandal! No wonder she had to save a match point in today’s match.
She could’ve refused the sponsor deal with Motorola, since everybody is using iphone now. It’s gonna be hard for her. I mean if she win 1 or 2 more major tournaments I’m sure there will be plenty more endorsement deal for her, maybe from luxury watches, cars or even snacks!
Ian, if you asked me, I’d much rather have this Motorola than an iPhone, but that’s maybe just me. I don’t like iPhones. This Motorola is so pretty and nostalgia-inducing. I’m not sure about its interface, but I suppose it’s good.
