Mark your calendars because the NikeCourt Air Zoom GP Turbo “Naomi Osaka” Premium is set to make its grand entrance on May 16, 2023, both in-store and online. Retailing at $160 per pair, these special edition tennis shoes pay tribute to the four-time Grand Slam champion and her Haitian roots.
These sleek and stylish shoes have a unique design that blends performance and personality. The upper is made of synthetic leather and mesh, with a hibiscus flower print representing Osaka’s heritage. The sneaker has a black base with vibrant floral patterns in hot pink and light pink.
But it’s not just about looks. These shoes also feature a responsive Zoom Air unit with durable zones, keeping you feeling fresh and comfortable on the court for longer. The medial toebox has an overlay to cover high-wear areas, and the midsole boasts a full-length Zoom Strobel arrangement.
With a lace-up closure, padded tongue and collar, and pull tab at the heel, these shoes offer comfort and support for your feet. The midsole is made of foam, with a full-length Zoom Air unit that provides responsive cushioning and energy return. And the outsole is made of rubber with a modified herringbone pattern, offering both traction and durability on hard courts. Plus, a translucent window on the outsole reveals the Zoom Air unit.
As much as we would love to see the 25-year-old Osaka rock these kicks on the court, she won’t be able to for a while as she’s currently expecting her first child. But fear not, she’ll be back in action and ready to chase new titles on the Hologic WTA Tour in January 2024. (source: Sportskeeda)
