Naomi Osaka has shocked the tennis world by announcing pregnancy a few days after withdrawing from the 2023 Australian Open without citing a clear reason.
The four-time Grand Slam champion showed a baby ultrasound image on Wednesday and wrote a lengthy note on social media to explain her current situation and plans for her tennis future.
I know that I have so much to look forward to in the future, one thing I’m looking forward to is for my kid to watch one of my matches and tell someone: “That’s my mom.”
Looking at the ultrasound, we can notice that the baby is quite big already. It seems like her due date is relatively near. What do you guys think?

The 25-year-old Osaka has revealed her plan to return to the Hologic WTA Tour next year for the Australian Swing, at the start of 2024. She ended her message to the media and fans on a very positive note:
I don’t think there’s a perfectly correct path to take in life but I always felt that if you move forward with good intentions you’ll find your way eventually.
Osaka has been in a long-term relationship with rapper Cordae. They made their relationship Instagram official in September 2019. Checking Cordae’s social media, he still hasn’t publicized the baby news.
