Serena Williams No.1 seed at 2010 Australian Open


Serena WilliamsWorld No.1 and defending Australian Open champion Serena Williams tops the list of 32 seeds at the 2010 Australian Open.

The seedings follow the WTA rankings from numbers 1-15, then skip Yanina Wickmayer who has to qualify because her doping ban was lifted after the entry deadline, and hence every player ranked from No.17 onwards is seeded one spot higher than their ranking.

  1. what a battle there will be in the second round henin-dementieva!! a must watch clash. i hope both reach the second round! and other match i wanna see is the glamour-showdown masha-maki in the first!!!

  2. Agh. This is stressing me out! 2nd round possibility of Dementieva v. Henin. Well that part of the draw is so tough-Pennetta, Clijsters, Dementieva, Henin, Kuznetsova. And Maria’s draw looks pretty easy until 4th round-she always seems to have it easy-but then again I’m so biased lol.
