Additional information: Players voted on their favorite tournaments, and the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells came out as the favorite Premier event, while the Abierto Mexicano TELCEL in Acapulco is players’ favorite International event.
elena looks nice. the rest, not so much.
I just don’t understand how can Serena rake awards for sportsmanship after her antics in 2009…!
Marine, Serena was clearly the best player in the past year. There was that US Open issue, but still she had the best results.
Marine, don’t be ridiculous, it’s not an award for sportsmanship it’s the award for best player and she was clearly that(tahnk you Marija for being objective unlike that woman).
you’re always whining about her results and you know what? That bugs you because you can’t do anything about that, seeing her taking awards and not your belgian lady Henin.
Diteraka, nothing bugs me, I am just expressing my opinion, so you can calm down now.
I don’t think Serena was the best player on tours, she only worked hard at slams and than withdrew/lost early as much as it was possible.
I can’t see Henin getting an award for 2009 for anything as she kind of wasn’t playing at the time…
Logic, logic…
And other thing is that despite winning 3 slams in 2009 she wasn’t able to hold no.1 spot all year round and was overtaken by someone who did not even win a slam.
Diteraka, you may disagree with Marine, but don’t call her ridiculous, no need for that. I’ve noticed that people who defend Serena are the most passionate.
It doesn’t matter what any of us think. Serena won and no one can change that.
