Maybe Andy Murray is that golden link between the Serbian sisters and success? 🙂 Together with Andy’s brother Jamie, Jelena Jankovic won her first and only Grand Slam title, the magical 2007 Wimbledon mixed doubles, and today we got the news that Ana Ivanovic will be coached by Nigel Sears, father of Andy’s girlfriend Kim.

Nigel Sears will be Ivanovic’s full-time coach. He has quit his job as Head of Women’s Tennis at the Lawn Tennis Association and will travel with Ivanovic wherever she goes. Remember how important it was for Ivanovic to find a fully-dedicated coach?

“I couldn’t be happier,” said Ana. “I’ve admired Nigel for some time now, and I can’t wait to start working with him on court.” (photo: Ralf Reinecke)

  1. hopefully this man will bring the ‘A’ factor from Ana’s game..gud luck Ana!!we’ll be behind you now and forever!!

  2. Hope Ana will be able to increase her tennis performances mainly her serves (aces) and physical ability, especially running everyday 1/2 to 1 hour.

  3. Staff, An educated guess: Ana’s problems are due to an ongoing, physical condition, preventing her being at her best and causing, with athletes in particular, many diverse injuries. At Ana’s age she is curable. If not correctly treated she will tend to worsen year by year. My interest is strictly professional. I do, however, consider her the best female tennis player on this planet. To date, with this patient, the Medical profession has failed. If, medically, my ‘educated guess’ is correct-great, If not- no harm. Best wishes to all those helping Ana and, most particularly best wishes to Ana.
