A month ago I presented you the lovely brand of Denise Cronwall and told you about the items that were on sale then. Now I’d like to inform you that the 2013 tennis collection is out and you can see all the available clothes in the 2013 lookbook!
As you know, Denise sent me numerous beautiful clothing items for review. Last time I showed you styles from 2011 and 2012 and now it’s my pleasure to introduce you to the new designs. First I’d like to talk about the clothes that I received from the new collection.
BLACK VINTAGE CAP SLEEVE TOP AND SKIRT
I admire the designs of Denise Cronwall for their uniqueness and this ensemble perfectly represents the novelty she brings to the tennis fashion. Made from soft and comfortable fabric, the stylish cap sleeve top with mesh ruffle detail at shoulders has a built-in bra, while the matching skirt has mesh piping detail and lined lace ruffles. In the 2013 lookbook you will see that there is also a tennis tank of similar style, as well as a wonderful dress called “Mona in Australia” (the name is honoring Mona Barthel who is the WTA representative of the brand). The top costs $85, just like the skirt, while the dress retails at $136.
LACE PULLOVER
Denise takes activewear to the edge with highly elegant pieces. This lace pullover with low drape neckline to highlight your top underneath is not for everyone, but for those who are not afraid to stand out on their way to the practice courts this pullover is a perfect accessory. The exact same piece is not available at retail yet, but you can buy a similar one for $75.
GREY CAPRI PANTS
Again a perfect blend of sportswear and romantic elegance. These fashionable leggings with lace details at waste and knees are above all comfortable and functional, with pockets for tennis balls, keys, mobile phones, money, or whatever you want to have with you while training. Currently you can buy them in the color of prune for $110.
Don’t forget to browse through the Denise Cronwall website, there are many different prints, colors and designs. To keep up with Denise I suggest you to follow her on Facebook and Twitter. (photos by Marija Veljkovic)
Yay, Marija, finally :-)! These clothes are really unique and your friend did a good job with the photos.
Marine, I love the clothes and I enjoyed the photoshoot. Also, it’s great when you can work with your best friend who is also a great photographer. I hope there will be more such opportunities in the future.
Great photos! The clothes look lovely, really elegant and unique. Nice to see another designer emerging. Good job Marija! 🙂
Bróna, I’m glad I’m able to show people a good brand that they must have been less likely to hear about and also to promote smaller companies that love what they do.
Hi Marija,
I like this sweet photo spread, and some of the outfits features, like the ball pocket, and ruffle diagonal hem, And black with white/pink detail accents. However, I must report the outfit Mona wore winning yesterday over Ivanovic At Indian Wells, Stadium 2, with the soft white top & straight across ruffle skirt with red laces in her black shoes just didn’t look nearly as finished and/or pretty as this. In fact, a bit messy.
Perhaps a bolder colored top with the ruffle skirt (if not black) would work better for a upcoming ‘winner’. as she played very well.
I shot photos too, as a front row photog.
most sincerely,
JJ
Really nice clothes and an even nicer model!!!! 🙂
JJ Anderson, I’m not sure that the tank is Denise Cronwall.
And yes, the shoes should’ve been white for example. This black with red really doesn’t belong in the outfit.
JohnnyB, thank you! 🙂
Ha ha… I was just surfing around and took a look at these reviews. I can’t believe there’s still this much fascination. Thanks for writing about this.
I must say, these clothes from Denise look pretty good:) The problem it, there are so many tennis clothes choices out there, all you have to do is to make up your mind.
