No more troubles for Wozniacki… In the first round of Roland Garros Caroline Wozniacki recorded her first win after five losses, but the end of her victorious ways was lurking in the second round already and the Dane lost to Serbian Bojana Jovanovski for the second time this month. After falling to the 47th-ranked Jovanovski in the first round of Rome 2-6 6-4 7-6(5), Wozniacki suffered the same fate in the second round of the claycourt Grand Slam, this time in straight sets 7-6(2) 6-3.

There was one break of serve for each player in the first set, but when Jovanovski ensured the tiebreak, she made a mini-break right in the beginning and decisively took the set. In the second set, Jovanovksi broke in the second game and established a 3-0 lead, then after leading 5-2 she soon grabbed the victory.

In the third round, Jovanovski will play the 2009 champion and the fashion miss of the tournament, Qiaodan-sponsored Svetlana Kuznetsova.

  1. And that’s an another disappointment from Caro. What happened to her !? She used to play so well and then suddenly became this. I hope her new coaches will help her getting on top again 😉

  2. i don’t see this result as so surprising. woz is quite a mediocre player, she just fights very well.

  3. It’s very strange what’s happening with Caroline. I sometimes feel as if she didn’t have her passion for tennis anymore.
