Anna Chakvetadze

Former world No. 5 Anna Chakvetadze is now a married woman. According to her fellow Eurosport commentator Vladas Lasitskas, the 27-year-old Russian’s husband is a Swiss investment banker with Ukrainian citizenship. His name hasn’t been revealed yet.

The cute Chakvetadze officially retired in September 2013, while her last tournament was the 2012 Tashkent Open. Had it not been for her chronic back injury and the horrific robbery that struck her at the peak of her career, Chakvetadze’s list of achievements would have been much greater.

If you’re wondering what Chakvetadze has been up to lately, she’s been working on her fashion project ACh Factory, while in October she was honored during the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, together with fellow retired Russian tennis star Dinara Safina.

  1. Tennis Island, if only her husband would give her enough boost to get back to tennis. Such a pity her career was ruined by that traumatizing robbery.

  2. I wish her all the happiness in the world 🙂 she was bouchard of 2007 and very talented she and ana were my fav’s at that time. Those thieves didn’t just rob her of valuables that night they robbed her career 🙁 hopefully she’ll get fit and make a comeback like vaidisova Btw do you have any more info about nicole ?

  3. Sru, I’m following Nicole on Instagram and I see she’s training and enjoying life. A week ago she posted “Couple weeks of rest and rehab and its back to the gym now with my trainer, 2015 season is just around the corner”. So she’ll play next year! 😉

  4. Chacko was a warrior – watched her battle Sharapova in Carson City, gave everything, were it not for an untimely injury, she would have defeated her.

Generally speaking, the names of criminals aren’t released. He stole my Anna! Arrest that man!
