Bastian Schweinsteiger shocks with ultimate display of love for Ana Ivanovic

Ana Ivanovic‘s boyfriend Bastian Schweinsteiger personalized his football shoes with the date his relationship with the Serbian tennis star started, as well as “dušo”, Serbian word for “darling”. Wow! And that’s not all! The Bayern Munich footballer is even wearing a Serbian flag on his shoes!

Bild shows that Bastian’s shoes feature 31/7, numbers of Bastian’s jerseys in Bayern Munich and national team, while the newspaper is also mentioning that the shoes have the date 05/09/2014 as well, most probably the beginning of his relationship with Ana.

Ana must be flattered, although Bastian’s move could be considered a bit cheesy. The German sure wouldn’t do it if his girlfriend were Maria Sharapova, who has recently said that she would hate to be proposed on the court.

This is definitely a nice consolation for Ivanovic after her first-round exit at the Australian Open.

  1. 31/7 is not the date they started the relationship. 7 and 31 are bastians Shirt numbers (7 national Team, 31 fc Bayern munich) on his right shoe is the date: 5.9.2014 and the german flag. this is the date the relationship start.
sorry for my bad english, hope you understand me.

  2. Wow! Good for Ana. She really needs the positives now considering she is having a tough time now. Can’t wait to see her back on the court. For Bastian, he is such a lucky guy. A bit cheesy but romantic. Guys these days don’t usually do that anymore. I hope this relationship will help Ana’s on court results.

  3. Emman Damian, I agree, it is cheesy but still it’s nice and romantic and I figure most girls would be flattered.

  4. There’s a picture of another pair of shoes he wore the other day where he covered the name of his Ex-girlfriend with a marker. I guess symbols on his shoe is how he impresses his girlfriends. How romantic lol

  5. Luo, yeah I heard that he also wore he’s ex’s name on the shoes. Oh well, maybe that’s now top style in footballers’ circles 🙂
