Lacoste reveals US Open 2015 collection

It’s time to kick the US Open outfit unveiling into higher gear. So far I’ve shown you what Fila, Adidas and Stella McCartney prepared for the most fashionable Grand Slam and now I’ll present you the new collection from Lacoste, as worn by Alize Cornet and Timea Bacsinszky. I got the information straight from Lacoste, so this is 100% official.

As expected, Lacoste is not going to bypass navy, and this Technical Jersey Lacoste Sport Tank Top Tennis Dress is a slightly reinvented French Open look, as its front looks similar to the blue spring tank with contrast quarter-zip that Cornet sported at the claycourt Grand Slam, while the upper back has different, yet again stylish keyhole cutouts. The dress also comes in white, with nice blue touches, just as the short-sleeve outfit I’m about to show you next.

The second style Lacoste prepared for this fall are these separates and even though I still have no closeups of the items themselves, I’ve seen hi-res versions of these images and I can tell you that the shirt has side mesh for ventilation, while the skirt is highlighted by these two blue side slits. The little zipper and embroidered green crocodile branding are also here just like in the dress.

I like the dress better, even though I would prefer a bit more innovation from Lacoste. The back of the dress is lovely, that’s my favorite detail. I don’t really like the slits of the white skirt, while I’d prefer the shirt to have cap sleeves.

  1. I really like the navy dress but I have to agree with you on the slits of the white skirt, they could have opted not to include it. I was hoping they’ll release lively colors for US Open but they opted for the classic colors again.

  2. Emman Damian, Lacoste is yet to break from its tradition. For them it’s a change if an outfit is not navy hehe. But I appreciate it that we have such brands as well. Moreover, their Roland Garros kits were really good.
