When Sloane Stephens introduced a crop top in her Under Armour outfit at the 2015 US Open, I pointed out that tennis fashion brands should welcome the trend and to my amazement they have (they must be reading my blog ;)). Leading sports apparel company Nike introduced crop tops in a grand way, by clothing world number one Serena Williams in the statement opti yellow Nike Spring Premier Crop Top at the 2016 Australian Open, and now I see that Lotto is going for it as well! Wow!
Browsing through Tennis Warehouse Europe, I came across the Lotto Spring 2016 Twice collection, distinctive for its bold floral print, but what caught my eye was this Lotto Spring Twice Crop Top, which proved to me that we’ll be seeing more and more of this edgy look on the tennis courts. I’m all for it, as I love daring experiments and refreshing styles. What do you say?
I still don’t know whether Agnieszka Radwanska will wear this crop top, as she may opt for the Lotto Spring Twice Dress, or maybe the Lotto Spring Diamond Dress, but we have to take note that tennis clothing companies are embracing the exposed bellybutton.
The collection also features the Lotto Spring Twice Skirt, Lotto Spring Twice Tank, Lotto Spring Twice Tight with fading floral print, and other pieces, but what’s most interesting is that a number of items are reversible, so you can switch between flowers and solids.
Lotto prints looks much better than two years ago, but I think that they will be a little cold because many players in Charleston, Rome and Paris have played in long sleeves.
Djole, I’m still waiting for Lotto to give me more information about who will wear this collection and where.
Hopefully these designs get more limelight It’s a shame that their AO prints didn’t get much attention
Wow, that’s so interesting! Hopefully Aga wears it, I think it would suit her best. I just hope that they maybe offer a higher waisted skirt, so that it could be a little more forgiving of an outfit
I like it. I think the design look kind of Eleven-ish 😉
