Jarmila Wolfe is making her debut in our Little Tennis Stars section and what better way to feature her for the first time than with this adorable childhood photo of her getting ready for a tennis lesson and what better timing than her birthday, April 26th! Happy 29th birthday, Jarka!

Little Jarmila Wolfe

Jarmila started playing tennis at the age of 7 and this photo is exactly from that period. The lady helping the future tennis star prepare for her practice is her mother, who passed away in 2012.

Jarmila Wolfe, née Gajdosova, was born in Bratislava, Slovakia, plays for Australia, while her residence is Dallas, Texas, where she lives with her husband Adam Wolfe, who is a US marine pilot.

The 29-year-old has won two WTA singles titles (Guangzhou in 2010 and Hobart in 2011), while her highest singles ranking was No.25, reached in May 2011. In doubles she’s won one WTA title, in Stockholm in 2006, while her highest ranking in that competition was No. 31 in 2012.
