Photos from Roland Garros: Rain-shortened Sunday in Paris

1

The weather gods don’t seem to be tennis fans this year in Paris, with the 2016 French Open being plagued by bad weather from the start. The woes continued on Sunday, as on-going rain showers meant two of the four women’s singles matches could not be completed and have been pushed to Monday.

We got one quarterfinal pair, as Garbine Muguruza beat Svetlana Kuznetsova to make the last eight, and Shelby Rogers defeated Irina-Camelia Begu. In the gallery below we have photos of these four players, as well as of the other four who are scheduled to finish their matches tomorrow: Agnieszka Radwanska vs. Tsvetana Pironkova and Simona Halep vs. Samantha Stosur.
