During a press conference at the 2017 US Open, world number one Karolina Pliskova revealed that she’s been engaged since Wimbledon, confirming that the ring we’ve been seeing her wear, like in the photo below from the recent Western & Southern Open in Cincinnati, is an engagement ring.
In the midst of talking about her upcoming US Open campaign, where she’s defending the points from reaching the final last year, Pliskova shyly noted: “Oh yeah. Hey guys, I’m engaged.” Then she flashed the ring and said that it happened after Wimbledon.
If you’ve been a regular at Women’s Tennis Blog, you’re familiar with the WTA Players and their Love Partners section, so you know that Pliskova has been dating a fellow Czech, a guy named Michal Hrdlicka, for quite some time now.
Michal is known for being a TV personality and has had a fair share of scandals, like being caught very drunk with girls in Karlovy Vary and having a daughter with his much older colleague. However, Karolina seems to have understanding for his personality and calls him her soulmate. Michal is four years Karolina’s senior.
I’m wishing the happy couple all the best in their life together! I’m looking forward to another WTA wedding!
Dude slightly (very) unsettles me but up to Karolina. Congrats to her.
Hmmm congrats to Kaja!
That thug doesn’t deserve her, and he’ll make her suffer, but that is only my perception. It’s her wish.
