Third-round matches were played on Saturday at the Miami Open and the most notable one was the fall of world No.1 Simona Halep, who lost to Agnieszka Radwanska 3-6 6-2 6-3. The Pole’s opponent in the fourth round will be Victoria Azarenka, who got past Anastasija Sevastova, also in three sets. Notice that Vika has the name of her son Leo and a heart on her Nike kicks.
Monica Niculescu unfortunately had to retire due to back problems in the third set of her epic encounter with Sloane Stephens, Angelique Kerber defeated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Karolina Pliskova advanced after a tiebreak in the third set against Hsieh Su-Wei, while Garbine Muguruza‘s 6-2 6-1 win over Christina McHale closed Saturday’s schedule. Our Jimmie48 was at all these matches, so there are plenty of photos for us to enjoy!

Still can’t believe Halep lost this match. Perhaps she needs to switch coaches? Ostapenko’s looking really good, so I’d like to see her take the title.
