Monday’s schedule at the Nature Valley International was all about first-round action, except for two second-round matches in which top seed Caroline Wozniacki beat Camila Giorgi 6-2 6-3 and second seed Karolina Pliskova prevailed against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-4 2-6 6-3.
Besides photographing the top two seeds making their way into the third round, our Jimmie48 attended a number of first-round matches, most importantly the big comeback of Agnieszka Radwanska, as the Pole won her first match in two months by defeating Timea Babos 6-3 6-1.
We also had a clash of former Eastbourne champions Dominika Cibulkova and Ekaterina Makarova, the 2016 winner Cibulkova booked her place in the second round with a 7-5 6-4 victory.
