After Sunday’s finals, Monday was all about glamorous trophy photoshoots, as singles champion Elina Svitolina and doubles winners Kristina Mladenovic & Timea Babos replaced their tennis gear with elegant outfits and hairdos to proudly pose with their hard-earned WTA Finals trophies in Singapore.
The 2018 champions also took part in the so called Handover Ceremony on Monday morning, when the WTA Finals were symbolically handed over from Singapore to Shenzhen. After taking place in Singapore for five years, the prestigious season-ending tournament will now be held in China’s Shenzhen from 2019 to 2028, which was today acknowledged by Singapore, Shenzhen and WTA officials led by Steve Simon, WTA CEO and Chairman.
Svitolina took her Billie Jean King Trophy to the Singapore National Gallery and posed for our photographer Jimmie48.
