A lot of players have retired lately and they usually inform the tennis world by posting a lengthy message to fans on social media. Marina Erakovic got creative and announced her retirement with a short video shot on a beach where she’s presenting written boards telling us the news and answering our possible questions.

Retirement announcements are usually sentimental, mentioning memorable career moments and thanking all the people that supported the player throughout the years. Erakovic managed to do something different, she left the world of pro tennis without excessive emotions, showing only the positive vibe and fun attitude.

The 30-year-old New Zealander has one WTA singles title in her biography (Memphis 2013) and eight doubles titles. Her highest singles ranking was No.39, while in doubles she was as high as No.25.
