Serbian tennis star Bojana Jovanovski is well into the sixth month of pregnancy, her due date being July 11th, and we know that the baby is a boy.
The 27-year-old announced the news on Instagram, hugging her husband, canoeist Milos Petrovic, whom she married in November 2016. At the time of their wedding, Bojana was hopeful that her best career days were yet to come and that children would wait, but life had other plans.
Persistent injuries forced Bojana to hang up her racquet in November 2018, after spending the year playing the ITF Circuit and WTA qualifying, with her husband’s last name added to her maiden name, and now the former world No.32 is pregnant, although, as she says in her latest interview for Serbian magazine Gloria, the pregnancy was unexpected.
In an interview at the start of this year, Bojana said that she would like to get pregnant and to have a daughter who would play tennis, even though, as Bojana states, WTA players generally hope that their children will not be into professional tennis.
When it comes baby names, Bojana already has some suggestions for her son: Aleksej, Luka (like Ana Ivanovic’s son), or Kosta.
