Madison Keys is a proud ambassador for the FearlesslyGiRL organization and today she organized her first #KinderGirlWorldDay, where she invited women, especially her tennis colleagues, to go online and share supportive messages to their female friends, role models, etc. in order to help replace toxic and abusive online behavior with words of kindness and support. The WTA world was eager to join the initiative, so let’s see who spread good vibes and encouraging messages on Twitter.
The 24-year-old Keys started the trend by sending love to Lindsay Davenport, Laura Robson, Sloane Stephens and the Williams sisters.
Lindsay Davenport has had a huge impact on my tennis career, but more than that she’s someone I adore. She’s always there for me to answer any question or give advice. To grow up watching her win Grand Slam titles & now having her in my corner is amazing. #KinderGirlWorldDay @WTA pic.twitter.com/kB364MBII1

Laura, the girl you have an insta dm chat, texting convo, & snapchat convo going with all at the same time. She’s gotten me through some tough times, usually involving face masks & wine. I’m so happy tennis brought us together, you’re stuck with me for life ???????? #KinderGirlWorldDay pic.twitter.com/zujs1XWzx3

Sloane is one of my best friends on the @WTA tour????♀️To have someone you compete against one moment & laugh with the next can be rare. Her foundation does amazing things & so many kids are lucky to have her in their lives. She always has my back. *Arya for life* #KinderGirlWorldDay pic.twitter.com/R0lD73IFMl

Venus & Serena Williams were both huge inspirations for me to play tennis. What they’ve done on court is incredible. What they do off court in business, helping other girls & championing for equal pay is also so inspiring. They motivate me to do & be my best. #KinderGirlWorldDay pic.twitter.com/mIPKt50d6R

We can’t expect this initiative to end online bullying, but it was pleasant to read these encouraging WTA tweets and a certain amount of positive energy definitely reached the universe. Great job, Madison!
