It’s only January 2nd, but athletes are already sweating and grinding with high hopes for the 2020 season. Just as busy is our photographer Jimmie48, who is already in Brisbane, covering the preparation of the WTA players.

The biggest news on Thursday was Ajla Tomljanovic‘s switch from Nike to K-Swiss, as we could notice in her practice gear. Another highlight of the day was Naomi Osaka‘s helicopter arrival to the media session.

World No.1 Ashleigh Barty was all smiles during her practice time, while Maria Sharapova, with her signature fierce look, is eager to make 2020 much better than the previous season, helped by Nike’s “Just Do It” t-shirt inspiration.

Kiki Bertens, Donna Vekic and Jennifer Brady are also working hard at the very start of the year.
