Maria Sharapova wasn’t the only WTA star who attended Sunday’s Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills, California, as recently-retired Caroline Wozniacki also showed up at the glamorous event, looking gorgeous in a tulle dress designed by Monique Lhuillier.
The gown, which costs about $8,000, features a deep V-necline, short train, sequined-embroidered stars throughout and a velvet bow-adorned belt. Gorgeous!
Caroline’s husband David Lee accompanied her at the star-studded event. By the way, I love the recent David’s quote about his wife: “She’s so intelligent. I almost wish she wasn’t that smart. She catches everything, I don’t get away with anything.”
What do you say, who looked better, Caroline Wozniacki in this tulle gown or Maria Sharapova in her lime georgette Valentino dress? My vote definitely goes to Caro this time, although I consider Masha a fashion icon.
I don’t really like either of the dresses. Maria’s is more sophisticated, and it shows off her pretty face – and her makeup is better than Caroline’s for a blond – but ultimately it’s a lime green tent. And Caroline’s dress is too low cut. I’m not objecting on moral grounds, I just think it looks unbalanced and like she forgot to put her top on. Those kind of dresses tend to flatten the breasts and are not flattering or sexy.
CLT, a lime green tent hahaha, but true. I have no objections about Caroline’s dress.
CAroline, no doubt. But I agree with CLT, a dress that is as low cut as this one is not flattering.
