A look at Venus Williams’ latest EleVen Bold collection

Now that the entire tennis community is waiting for the 2020 season to finally resume, Venus Williams is dropping out a new EleVen Bold collection inspired by courageous, strong and fabulous women. Once again, the WTA legend delivers a range of bright and colorful designs, this time combining hibiscus and baja blue tones with a playful camouflage print.

The collection features a variety of tennis skirts, athletic tops, and a tennis dress, all equipped with EleVen Pro-Dri and EleVen Ozone technologies to ensure that the garments are breathable, quick-drying and protective from the sun. Williams explains in a recent interview for Refinery29:

Being a Florida girl, sun protection and feeling cool and comfortable in the heat is always top of mind.

In the promo photo above, Venus is showing the Dynamo Dress. Side colorblocks are a common feature in the WTA fashion, but the dress surprises with a unique strappy back design.

The model next to Venus is wearing the Stellar Skirt and the camo-patterned Victory Long-Sleeve Sunshirt, featuring contrasting tape trim and mesh back inset.

Each piece of EleVen clothing goes through a rigorous personal test by Venus herself:

I pour my heart, soul, time, and energy into each collection I design. I put each piece to the test to make sure all the boxes are checked and the fit is perfect — it’s extremely important to me that we’re delivering nothing but the best. As an athlete, I design each collection with movement top of mind to ensure the pieces not only feel comfortable and fit well but leave you ready to take on your day.

Venus also posed in the printed version of the Race Day Tank Top from the Bold collection and the Stellar Skirt, even though she admits that the Flutter Skirt is her favorite:

It is such a fun, colorful print for the summer that I think adds a little flirty flair to any look.

Venus is expected to make her return to competitive matches at the inaugural Top Seed Open presented by Bluegrass Orthopaedics, beginning August 10th in Lexington, Kentucky.

  1. It’s just basic designed dress/top/skirts with some random pattern
Eleven designs almost never impressed me
The last design i thought was decent from Eleven was her 2017 AO

  2. @Marija do we know which outfit Venus will be wearing to the US Open this year? Hoping she wears the orange and black dress. The back looks similar to the black Adidas dress that i remember Kerber, Osaka and others wearing a couple years ago.

  3. John Aghahowa, Venus hasn’t confirmed what she will wear at the US Open. Actually, in recent years she’s been quite secretive about her upcoming Grand Slam outfits — at best we know what collection she would wear, but the actual outfit she picks on a whim just before the match.
