Awaiting her return to competition at the Western & Southern Open and the US Open, Naomi Osaka is introducing a brand new Yonex EZONE tennis racquet to treat herself and other tennis players as the enforced season break is finally behind us.
“I am super excited to celebrate the return of the Tour with this brand-new racquet,” said the 22-year-old Osaka, who has used Yonex racquets for more than a decade. The Japanese former world No.1 was involved in the design process of the limited-edition EZONE, her same powerful and plush racquet with hints of gold and silver on a sleek, white background, boasting the technology of the award-winning, 6th-generation EZONE series.
This new colorway will be released on September 17th and it will be available in three models — 98, 100, and 100L.
Serena Williams has also just unveiled her new racquet for the upcoming US Open: the Wilson Blade SW102 Autograph. Unlike Osaka who opted for a white base, Serena’s design is pure black with gold details such as her signature and inspirational quotes.
