Former Serbian world No.1 Jelena Jankovic hasn’t played tennis since the 2017 US Open and has kept her life private, aside from occasionally sharing travel photos on Instagram. Today, Serbian media came out with the news that the 35-year-old WTA star is pregnant!

In recent years, Jankovic has kept her relationship status a secret, but now we are learning that the tennis player is pregnant with Branko Barac, an internal medicine specialist, rheumatologist. The couple is expecting a baby girl.

The word is out that they have been dating since spring. Actually, they supposedly met after Novak Djokovic’s Adria Tour exhibition tournament in Belgrade. Jankovic took part in the June event and since Djokovic tested positive for coronavirus, Jankovic also needed to take the test, which is when she met the doctor at one private clinic in the Serbian capital.

Barac’ PhD thesis topic was “The role of sexual steroid hormones in acute myocardial infarction in men over 40 years of age”. The doctor works at the Institute of Rheumatology in Belgrade and at one private clinic (you can see his photo at the clinic’s website).
