Coming to Doha on the wings of her Australian Open quarterfinal appearance, American world No.44 Jessica Pegula is through to the qualifying finals. The top seed edged Anastasia Potapova in the third-set tiebreak to advance on Sunday.

Seventh seed Kristyna Pliskova made short work of Zhu Lin.

Both Tsurenko and Siniakova wore Lotto’s pink separates — the Ukrainian paired the Spring Tech Skirt with the Spring Tech Print Top, while the Czech combined it with the Spring Tech Print Tank.
Besides the final round of qualifying, star-studded Monday’s order of play at the Qatar Total Open will feature five Grand Slam champions. One of them is 2017 French Open winner Jelena Ostapenko, who was in good mood during her Sunday’s practice as she awaits a first-round meeting with Kiki Bertens.
