Retired former world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki suffered an accident and broke her right thumb. The Dane hasn’t yet revealed how and where it happened, but it could’ve been because of winter sports or slippery surfaces, as four days ago she was seen butt-sledding with her husband David Lee down a snowy slope.
Wozniacki is expecting her first child, a baby girl, due in July. It’s never a good time to break a bone, but the worst timing is during pregnancy. Pregnant women can use very limited medications and should avoid trauma in general.
During her illustrious tennis career Wozniacki got used to enduring physical pain and handling injuries, so I’m sure she’ll overcome this situation with ease. I’m wishing her a speedy recovery.
