Five weeks after winning Roland Garros in both singles and doubles, world No.13 Barbora Krejcikova cruised past fellow Czech Tereza Martincova 6-2 6-0 in the final of the Livesport Prague Open.
Second-seeded Krejcikova needed just 65 minutes to win her third career title and first on hard courts. Note that the 25-year-old won those three titles in her last four tournaments — she triumphed at the Internationaux de Strasbourg, then at the French Open, followed by a fourth-round finish at Wimbledon (lost to eventual champion Ashleigh Barty), and now a title run on home soil.
From 2-2 in the first set, Krejcikova won ten straight games to dispatch eighth-seeded Martincova, who is currently ranked at a career-high No.78. Before the title match, Krejcikova had eliminated Isabella Shinikova, Ysaline Bonaventure, Katerina Siniakova and Xinyu Wang. (photo: Jimmie48)
