The Czech Tennis Federation and the ITF have agreed to host the Billie Jean King Cup final on indoor hard courts of Prague’s O2 Arena from 1st to 6th November. This decision comes after the event originally scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary was twice postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Twelve teams competing at the event are divided into four groups of three nations. Group winners advance to the semifinals and final. Countries in competition this year include: France, Russia, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, the United States, Spain, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and Canada, who have replaced Hungary.

“It’s an honor to represent this historic competition and I want to thank the ITF and the Czech Republic for doing everything in their power to stage this year’s women’s World Cup of Tennis despite the challenging circumstances,” said Billie Jean King, Global Ambassador.

Since 2011, the Czech Republic have won as many as six Fed Cup titles.
