Garbine Muguruza crowned her illustrious tennis career with the WTA Finals title on Wednesday and the two-time Grand Slam champion was accompanied by her boyfriend Arthur Borges during her successful week in Guadalajara, Mexico. After beating Anett Kontaveit in the final of the 2021 Akron WTA Finals Guadalajara, Muguruza was presented with the Billie Jean King Trophy. During the trophy ceremony, the Spaniard posed with coach Conchita Martinez, as well as with tennis legends Billie Jean King and Chris Evert, but the presence of a guy kissing and hugging the champion caught the media attention.
The man is Arthur Borges and he is apparently Muguruza’s boyfriend. He’s been spotted supporting her during the WTA Finals. As Tennis Tonic reports, he was also seen in Muguruza’s box during the September 27th – October 3rd Chicago Fall Tennis Classic, another tournament that the former world No.1 won this season. At that time, he also deleted all his Instagram posts that featured his ex-wife Kiira Korpi, a Finnish figure skater from whom he had separated in June, after eleven years spent together.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Arthur Borges is responsible for Tom Ford’s directly operated Made to Measure business in North America. In his Instagram stories, Borges shared his courtside moments from Guadalajara. He also posted one photo with Muguruza and put a heart emoji.

Just dug up some dirt on Mugu’s bf, Arthur Borges. Apparently he has been married before, for 3 years to an Icelandic figure skater, Kiira Korpi, and they just recently separated. He better not be stringing our Princess (Garbine) along. If he breaks her heart, me and a few friends in a Muguruza Facebook fan group will break his head! 😉

Yes, it’s strange that immediately after breaking up with his wife Kiira Korpi, he went to get Garbi. Normally you cry when your marriage collapses… Also during Chicago he has deleted all his Insta-photos with his wife, so his instagram is now very poor…
