Right after getting married, Daria Gavrilova, now Daria Saville, is announcing a new clothing sponsorship deal, with Lululemon.

The Australian posted on Instagram a short video of her wearing white Lululemon separates while practicing on the tennis court. The former Asics representative confirmed the sponsorship by saying: “I am soooooooo stoked to be a Lululemon ambassador!”

The 27-year-old Dasha was spotted wearing Lululemon already in 2020, at the French Open, but she didn’t officially announce the partnership at the time. The WTA player also sported the Canadian multinational athletic apparel brand at the Yarra Valley Classic and Australian Open early in 2021.

Through the years, Lululemon occasionally appeared on the WTA Tour, but its presence was scarce. For example, Heather Watson wore their white dress at Wimbledon 2014. Let’s see if Daria will now bring more exposure to their tennis apparel.

The former Top 20 player Saville spent most of the 2021 on the sidelines. After losing to compatriot Ashleigh Barty in the second round of the Australian Open, Saville underwent Achilles tendon surgery and couldn’t compete for most of the year. Only in November did she return to competition, beating Belgium’s Greet Minnen at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.

  1. I have one of the Lululemon “running” dresses. The “Serene Stride” one. Works as a tennis dress b/c it has built in pockets. Hopefully they will make more tennis apparel now!
