A man has been found guilty of stalking Emma Raducanu. The tennis star is now scared to leave her south London home alone.

Home security camera captured a man, later identified as Amrit Magar, visiting Raducanu’s house several times last December. He left notes and cards, decorated a tree in the front garden with Christmas lights, and even stole a shoe belonging to the WTA player’s father.

The man, a former delivery driver, was convicted at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Friday. The 35-year-old will be sentenced next month.

The 2021 US Open champion doesn’t feel safe at her home any more and is now constantly looking over her shoulder:

Since all this has happened I have felt creeped out. I feel very apprehensive if I go out, especially if I am on my own.

Raducanu is worried that the stalker might come back, so she wants to change her address and move to a house with better security. (source: Guardian)
