Adidas is surprising us this February with colorful safari prints created in cooperation with South African designer Rich Mnisi. Eye-catching patterns that draw inspiration from the wildlife and bustling cities of South Africa celebrate self-expression both on and off the court.
The Adidas Rich Mnisi Dress includes a high-waisted vibrant print skirt with a side slit and a black top with an open hole mesh at back. Neckline and arhholes are ribbed.
Separates offer a more subdued look, although still with evident safari inspiration. The Adidas Rich Mnisi Tank features a grey leopard print and pops of green at the shoulders and hem. Just like the dress, the tank has open-hole mesh zones. The fabric is adaptive, lightweight, with a stretchy, seamless fit. At least 60% is recycled material.
The Adidas Rich Mnisi Skirt is pure black, which comes with separate inner tights in a bike-short length. The skirts features laser-cut holes above the hem, bringing back the Stella McCartney style from mid-2010s. Remember Garbine Muguruza’s 2016 looks?
The skirt’s holes reveal the eye-catching print of the tights.
The Adidas Rich Mnisi Jacket is a bomber design that is all about the colorful print inspired by the scenery in the fashion designer’s homeland. Made 100% from recycled polyester, the zipper jacket features inner mesh lining and front pockets.

Oh dear……
The jacket looks like designed by toddler #terrible.
I kinda wish Ivy Park x Adidas design the next tennis collection, perhaps for the US Open, some Beyonce collabs would be nice, I trust her sense of style better than this designer.
Am I the only one who likes the dress? ???? I think Maria Sakkari wore it well (St Petersburg tournament). I have a fairly high threshold for getting tennis dresses these days, but I think I will get that one. It has a very unique print. I’ve seen much more hideous designs out there. I guess everyone has their own tastes. I like the Nike Australian Open 2022 dress too, but it’s sold out everywhere.
Cat, I like the dress as well. I like animal prints and I don’t think this one is over the top. It has a nice black balance and subtle accents on the armholes.
Now with the Winter Olympics going on, the ladies figure skaters often have designer skating “kits” as they spin and triple axel on the ice. The Russians are always top notch, especially top skater 15 yr. old Kamila Valieva who is embroiled in the illegal drug trimetazidine controversy. (She gets to still compete, and remember Maria Sharapova was banned for a year for a similar use of a heart medication.) One of the skaters, Kaori Sakamoto of Japan, who is currently in bronze position after the short program caught my eye, as she wearing a predominantly brown and earth tone outfit that looks marvelous. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=2223949711088165&set=a.107141909435633
