Ukrainian tennis player Kateryna Kozlova tied the knot with her fitness coach Michael Baindl, so now she’s competing as Kateryna Baindl on the Hologic WTA Tour.
The 35-year-old Michael Baindl, an ice hockey player from Germany, met Kateryna upon joining her team after being invited by his friend Christopher Kas. The ex-Starbulls captain and the WTA player got married in a an intimate wedding with just their closest family and friends in attendance. The ceremony took place in Kyiv, Ukraine, in December 2021. The newlyweds initially wanted to organize a larger party this summer, but given the current situation in Kateryna’s home country, it must be that they are reconsidering this plan.
