Numerous WTA stars attended Monday’s Citi Taste of Tennis at the JW Marriott Miami, as top local chefs prepared delicious food that was later “served” by the athletes.
Legends Monica Seles and Venus Williams headlined the event, together with Michelin Star Chef David Shim of Cote.
Seles dazzled in a floral dress, while Williams showed her amazing figure in black shorts and white crop top underneath a black blazer.
Ukraine’s Maryna Zanevska, who got married just over a week ago in Las Vegas, showed up with her husband Philipp-Andreas Schmidt. Two-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza brought her boyfriend Arthur Borges.
Always opting for bright colors, Bethanie Mattek-Sands wore a colorful blouse and short summer yellow skirt. Retired Slovak tennis player Daniela Hantuchova was also in attendance. The former world No.5 was exceptionally elegant in a satin black figure-flattering dress accessorized with a black bow clutch.
Estonia’s Anett Kontaveit was sporty elegant in a simple black sleeveless top, short skirt and white sneakers. France’s Alize Cornet was casual in a flowy printed dress and red flat sandals.
Taking place for over 20 years, Citi Taste of Tennis is one of the most anticipated “off the court” events at tennis tournaments nationwide. A portion of proceeds raised at Citi Taste of Tennis benefit the USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the United States Tennis Association, utilizing the powerful combination of tennis and education to enhance the lives of under-resourced youth through its support of the National Junior Tennis & Learning network.
