Lululemon started making big strides in the tennis world by signing 2021 US Open finalist Leylah Fernandez. The brand is now about to launch their first collection specialized for the racquet sport.
Canadian WTA player Leylah Fernandez started wearing Lululemon in January 2022, but the Vancouver-based sportswear company’s first tennis-specific apparel is yet to be launched.
Set to hit online shops and select stores in North America on March 29, the Spring 2022 Lululemon collection will include tennis clothes and accessories for both women and men. The apparel will feature all the usual high-performance properties, such as four-way stretch and quick-drying fabrics.
During her second-round loss to Czech Karolina Muchova at the Miami Open, Fernandez debuted the Lululemon Court Crush Dress in plum, a piece from the new tennis collection. Moreover, the Canadian replaced her Asics tennis shoes with a pro version of Swiss footwear brand On, co-created and promoted by Roger Federer. (source: Tennis.com)
