Evian ambassadors Emma Raducanu and Dua Lipa appear in a new commercial of this French water brand to share their talent, their passion on a light pink tennis court.
In the lead-up to Wimbledon and the US Open, Grand Slam champion Emma Raducanu teaches Dua Lipa how to play tennis, more precisely how to hit a forehand, while the British singer gives a brief dance lesson to the tennis star. In the background we can hear Lipa’s song “Let’s Get Physical Work Out”.
On the day this commercial was released, Raducanu made her third mid-match retirement since her triumph at the 2021 US Open. Playing world No.55 Viktorija Golubic of Switzerland in the first round of the Rothesay Open Nottingham, Raducanu conceded the match midway through the opening set because of an undefined injury to her left side. Medical timeout and a dose of painkillers didn’t enable the British teenager to finish the match.
The world No.11 Raducanu is yet to win more than two matches at a tournament since her breakthrough last year in Flushing Meadows. Right now, she says she has “no idea” whether she will be fit for Wimbledon. As things stand now, she is scheduled to continue her grass-court season at next week’s Rothesay Classic Birmingham.
